Sporting Clay Shooting | The facilities of one of the best sporting clay target ranges in the country are available, together with target rifle shooting using the 7.62mm rifle at 600 yards on the widest Gallery range in the country, and other types of target shooting with rifle from 100 to 1000 yards or with antique percussion pistols at much shorter ranges. |
The standard programme includes Sporting Clay shooting for half a day and two other disciplines selected for the other half day. Our organiser will be pleased to discuss specific requirements with you. It is a requirement of The Home Office Regulations for Handling Firearms, that names are provided for all those attending by 7 days before shooting. Guests with a reasonable amount of experience with shotgun should be identified to help with arranging experience levels in each group. All shooting is conducted with one-to-one qualified coaches and expert shots drawn from the Great Britain Rifle Team, National Squad or a major Bisley Club. |
One-to-one coaching with Target Rifle |
One-to-one coaching with Pistol | Pistol shooting with antique percussion pistols (0.38" Black Powder) at 15 or 20 yards. These pistols use powder and ball, and are allowed under the new UK firearms legislation. Firing can take place under cover or outdoors. All shooting is conducted with one-to-one qualified coaches. |
Sporting clay is shot with the Shotgun on the sporting clay range which has 52 specially designed stands to help the beginner and test the expert. All shooting is conducted with one-to-one qualified coaches. Each guest will have the opportunity to shoot at at least 50 clays. |

The .303" Gallery Rifle | The .303" rifle can be shot from the standing position at 150 yards on the Running Deer range. All shooting is conducted with one-to-one qualified coaches. |
The 7.62mm Match Rifle with telescopic sights can be shot at 1000 yards on Stickledown range. All shooting is conducted with one-to-one qualified coaches and expert shots drawn from the Great Britain Rifle Team, National Squad or a major Bisley Club. |
